Coron Westown Resort ★★★★

Staff were friendly. The place was clean. And everyone was happy to help you. Pool was mint for a chill after a hot days diving and milling about the time. You can rent everything from the hotel. Or head into town to rent. I liked that it was a little away from the town. It was nice and quiet.

it is a bit far to the city center, you need to ride a tricycle to get to the City Center. the swimming pool is not that clean. wifi connection is poor.

The location was ideal!

During our stay, there wasn't a hot water for shower and bath. They told us there was a water main break on the facility.

Pool is massive and great. Very clean hotel. Breakfast ok. Accoustic singer at night good. Staff friendly

For the price it is not really worth it in my opinion. Food and drink massively overpriced. Strange system with towels for the pool and not allowed to take any towels out of the hotel... construction going on next door so quite noisy. You can get better for the money to be honest. If you stay here you will need transport to places that are reasonably priced to eat and drink. The corridors where the rooms are have no music playing, no art. A bit of a prison feel. Mountain view room is not a view of a mountain. It is view of the bottom of a mountain which is dark and has a lot of trash! Staff often walk round the back of the rooms so can see into your room through the window

the food from their kitchen gave us all tummy aches. i suspect the food prep process may not be safe or contaminated.

It is located away from the busy town which is a great plus. There were 3 pools and are very kid friendly. Also the rooms were spacious although we would have loved to get the family as what we initially planned but turned out unavailable when we got there. The staff were great to just give us two deluxe rooms without additional charges.

There’s a stinking smell around the pool area, i think it’s from the toilets exhaust, the one below the pool. Also the room floor is kind of slippery, i wish there was complimentary slippers for the room.

Setting is beautiful. The room was clean and comfortable. The pool was well cared for and very enjoyable. The staff were friendly and helpful.

The hotel is located quite a ways from town and there is no ATM on site. The front desk is not authorized to exchange US Dollars so getting cash is difficult. The only option is riding into town but the pawn shop available to exchange cash closes at 5:00. When I went to pay, their credit card reader was not functional and they requested the entire bill be paid in pesos. When I explained that I was short on pesos because there was nowhere to exchange $$ they didn't know what to do. They were not willing to accept USD. We had no option to pay until, thankfully, the card reader started working?? We had dinner at the restaurant twice since town was so far away. Food was alright generally except it was served cold. That was acceptable for the ribs but was less appreciated for the burger and the Asian noodles. Pizza came hot and maybe they were holding everything until the pizza was ready -- but the timing wasn't great.

Service was great! Appreciate the help of the hotel staff to make our stay memorable. Rooms were always clean and comfortable. Pool water temp was perfect! Food at the Cafe was good and price comparable with outside restos.

The gym facilities could have been bigger. Breakfast spread was not always enticing. During our last meal cafe was undermanned so food service took longer. Orange juice was evidently powdered. Specialty danggit lamayo was out of stock.

They dont provide wifi inside the unit, you will have to pay for it. No signal, ( globe, smart and sun )

The hotel was great and the staff are great as well.

I booked 3 bedroom but ended up getting 2 when I paid it in full. All miscommunications with the staff. We where 10 people and we have to use 2 rooms. Our last night I found out I really did have 3 rooms and paid for it. At the end they gave me back my money. It’s all good because we were busy Island hopping for 2 days.

The pool side bar with live band was awesome and the service there was really nice! American Breakfast is Nice (Not the buffet) and pricing is right. Food was not too bad though usually it was cold when served.

The staff in the reception seemed like doing us a favor for answering our questions/issues.. The room smelled a little weird. We were charged an extra PHP600 for massage we didn't do (After asking why, it was deducted, but it was a nice try). The pool is dirty and it doesn't seems like it bothers anyone.. If you want to take a towel to the beach you need to rent from the hotel(Not borrow or leave deposit) for 100PHP per towel/Day. Internet- no access unless you pay PHP100 per day per device.

You have to pay extra for a wifi connection which is ridiculous in a year of 2018 it's 100 pesos per day per device and no data signal in the hotel so you're basically forced to pay for that, what a shame. Last day had a Hawaiian pizza at the bar by the pool and ended up with food poisoning for the trip back home. It gave me a very pleasant 26 hours of travelling with vomitting and diarrhoea

Location

The room is soooo dirty , bathroom is mouldy....total of 5 nights.... requested to change to another room but apparently fully booked. Westown Lagoon was available, managed to transfer after 2 nights and was far better. Westown Lagoon is highly recommended!

Great place have a staycation. Staff was very friendly and we upgraded our room very easily.

Had to pay for the wifi. For the amount or value we paid for the room we can easily have the wifi for free.

Nothing that we really liked about this hotel. Dirty, bad service in the restaurant, no service for the phone in the rooms, not good wifi, staff are okay.

The service in the restaurant is really bad!! We ordered 4 meals and it took more than 45 min to get 3 of the meals and mine (I only ordered the cesar salad) came after half an hour and it was covered in sauce and the chicken was really hard it was horrible! The rooms smelled really bad cause of the smell coming from the bathroom, like they haven’t cleaned it in some time cause the room smelled like urine and the smell got stuck in our clothes. Wifi not good and you don’t get any service for the phone in the rooms and they have a open wifi but it doesn’t even work so if you wanna use the “good” wifi you need to pay 100pesos a day for it and it’s not good. The staff were friendly but they were telling me different information all the time for example we had booked a tour(firefly watching) and I called to check if it was canceled and the women that answered told me that the canceled but in the evening they called me and told us that our car was here for the tour and 3 of the people that I was with were in town so we didn’t go and was the same with the ferry going to El Nido they informed us with the wrong information so we booked a flight but then they told us the ferry wasn’t cancelled. Would not recommend.

I feel safe in your hotel, not worried if something happen.. but your restaurant probably need additional staff so that they assist your guest immediately and please pay attention the housefly in this area

The fact we had to pay for the WiFi. Nowadays it is really important for hotels to offer this service. You can add it into the room's rate instead of "selling" vouchers per day per device. Also the Resort should have a shuttle to take guests to town and bring them back. The hotel is quite far from it.
